16.6 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants

Engineering, Procurement and Construction and Testing of 8 no. Solar Plants integrated with existing Diesel Generator Sets. Said PV parks have a total capacity of 16.6 MWDC:

  • Boulenour – 2 MWp
  • El Chami – 2.1 MWp
  • Atar – 2 MWp
  • Akjoujt – 3.4 MWp
  • Beni Chab – 2 MWp
  • Aleg – 2 MWp
  • Boutilimit – 1 MWp
  • Ajoune – 2.1 MWp)

The PV plants are ground-mounted, fixed installation of the PV modules (315 Wp/each) and with 60 kW distributed inverters. Low voltage, medium voltage switchgear and power transformers were installed for the integration of the PV plant into the existing power stations.

MORE INFORMATION

CCC used state of the art solar technology including top tier solar modules and inverters that are controlled by a sophisticated control system (Fuel Save Control system), that allows the maximum penetration and use of solar power, reducing the energy produced from the diesel generator sets that are working together with the solar plant (Hybrid Solar). The 8 no. solar plants will supply 30% of the electricity demand to the remote communities, reducing their dependency on diesel-fuelled generators, decreasing annual fuel costs and lowering carbon dioxide emissions. None of these communities is currently connected to the national grid.
