The Ghazeer Project stands as a landmark achievement in Oman’s energy sector. With an estimated 10.5 trillion cubic feet of recoverable gas resources, Block 61 has the capacity to deliver approximately 35% of Oman’s total gas demand – earning its title as the “Jewel in BP’s crown.”

Our impressive delivery of the Ghazeer project was recognised at the 2021 Construction Week Oman Awards, securing the ‘Commercial Project of the Year’ title.

It created significant employment opportunities and contributed to local economic growth by involving local suppliers and contractors. Environmentally, the project implemented flaring reduction techniques to minimize emissions, showcasing a commitment to reducing its carbon footprint.
