Multipurpose Hall at Lusail Sports Club
A Landmark Project that underlines the Emirate’s Role
Project Overview
This landmark construction project spans an impressive plot area of 387,123 m², centered around a state-of-the-art Olympic multipurpose hall designed to host Handball, Basketball, and Volleyball events. Supporting the main facility are two essential utility structures—Cooling and Microwave Towers—alongside expansive soft and hard landscaping. Key features include fountains, playgrounds, outdoor gyms, public restrooms, kiosks, vehicle access routes, and both shaded and unshaded parking areas, including dedicated VIP/VVIP internal parking.
Sustainability and Impact
The project achieved a major milestone by completing over one million man-hours without a Lost Time Accident (LTA), underscoring its commitment to the highest safety standards. It was also recognized with the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS) Design Award in 2014, celebrating its innovative architectural approach that fosters healthier indoor environments while minimizing ecological impact.

This development stands as a benchmark for sustainable construction, demonstrating how thoughtful design and execution can create healthier, more livable spaces while significantly reducing environmental footprints.
