Upgrading of Mesaimeer Road
This landmark infrastructure project involves the comprehensive design and construction of peripheral road upgrades along a 4 km stretch of Mesaimeer Road, extending from south of the Abu Hamour Street junction to south of Al Waab Street.
Key highlights include two new grade-separated interchanges at Abu Hamour Street, featuring a 900-meter elevated bridge and MSE embankment, as well as a new two-level interchange at Haloul Street.
A third-level overpass at the Salwa Road interchange adds a 1,200-meter elevated structure, dramatically improving traffic flow. Notably, the project introduces Qatar’s first cable-stayed bridge, engineered to accommodate over 16,000 vehicles per hour. These upgrades are set to significantly reduce congestion, enhance connectivity, and support the nation’s ongoing economic growth and urban development.
