CCC Kicks Off Tengiz Gas Separation Complex with Local Content Commitment
Tengiz, Kazakhstan – November 19, 2025 – CCC in partnership with Tecnimont S.p.A. (Maire Group, Italy), has officially commenced construction of the landmark Gas Separation Complex (GSC) at the Tengiz field. The first piles were driven on November 19th, marking a major milestone for Kazakhstan’s petrochemical sector.
The GSC is designed to process up to 9.1 billion m³ of dry gas annually, supplying the Silleno polyethylene plant with essential feedstock, including 1.6 million tons of ethane per year, and producing pronano as part of its output. This strategic facility will play a critical role in advancing downstream operations and strengthening Kazakhstan’s industrial base.
In total, the project will require 22,000 piles, all sourced from domestic Kazakh manufacturers, reinforcing CCC’s commitment to local content and supply chain development.
The GSC project combines global expertise and local engagement, setting a new benchmark for collaboration in Kazakhstan’s energy landscape.
