One of the largest LNG Trains in the world with capacity of 7.8 MTPA

The RasGas Trains 6 & 7 makes RasGas one of the lead suppliers to the American and the Asian natural gas markets.

The onshore Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract was awarded to Chiyoda Corp. and Technip Joint Venture, and CCC carried out all the construction works of the two world-scale, 7.8 MTA LNG liquefaction trains.

Over 15,800 tons of structural steel, 31,000 tons of piping, 9,500 tons of cooling water lines, 3,400 km of E&I cables, 130,000 m3 of concrete, 20,000 m2 of buildings and a staggering 57,000 tons of equipment will be used in the project’s construction.

 

The RasGas Trains 6 & 7 makes RasGas one of the lead suppliers to the American and the Asian natural gas markets.

MORE INFORMATION

At peak, CCC mobilized over 15,000 construction workers and 1,500 major pieces of equipment to build Trains 6 & 7, on a 500,000 m2 site or roughly the size of 100 soccer fields.

Trains 6 & 7 were built at the RasGas site where CCC had also carried out the other 5 RasGas LNG Trains.

In addition to these trains, CCC completed the construction of all 14 LNG Trains in Qatar.
