CLIENT Qatar Shell GTL Ltd.
SCOPE The world's largest gas-to-liquids (GTL) project.
DURATION 56 Months
DATE OF COMPLETION December 2011

The world's largest gas-to-liquids (GTL) project.

The Pearl GTL plant, a joint development by Qatar Petroleum and Shell, will process about three billion BOE over its lifetime from the world’s largest single non-associated gas field. The project comprises the development of an onshore GTL plant with two trains to produce 140,000 BPD of GTL products and around 100,000 BOEPD of natural gas liquids.

JGC Corp. and KBR were awarded the project management and cost-reimbursable EPCM contract, while CCC was awarded the entire construction contract for the two trains and the associated process and utilities / offsite area of the onshore facilities.

To carry out this project, CCC mobilized over 15,000 people and 2,500 pieces of construction equipment in an industrial zone the size of Amsterdam.
